Teeth Whitening FAQs
After thorough examination of your teeth and gums to ensure safety and efficacy, we will familiarise the procedure with you and answer any questions you may have. A week prior to this, we would have provided you with a special product to relieve any sensitivity you may experience after whitening. A hydrogen peroxide gel will be carefully applied on your teeth with your gums protected using an isolation gel. Usually, three sessions of 15 minutes together with our Whitespeed blue LED is sufficient to produce a noticeable difference. To a certain degree, brief sensitivity is to be expected. Our team will provide you with after-care instructions and a relief gel for post-operative care.
We recommend you avoid any foods and drinks which could possibly stain your teeth quicker for the first few days after bleaching (for example, coffee and tea). Regular oral hygiene and over-the-counter bleaching products could be used as supplement to Zoom Teeth Whitening.
As Zoom Teeth Whitening is performed with all safety measures by Dr Max, a higher concentration of bleaching material can be used. This will have a drastic effect on the outcome of whitening. Having a dentist do this for you means we have better control in the sensitivity encountered after bleaching.
